The practice
Dancing Freedom is a free, somatic, ecstatic and shamanic dance practice, created by Samantha Sweetwater in the United States, which allows us to express our essence, our true nature through movement.
Each session is an invitation to work on ourselves according to a very specific topic where we ask the elements Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether to guide us and take into account our intentions for the session in order to receive the messages from our body via sensations, from our heart via our emotions, and then from our higher self and the universe to be even more in tune with ourselves.
When you enter a Dancing Freedom space, you arrive in a safe place, in a caring community where you are welcome to be yourself. Feel free to move according to your needs, your desires, at your own pace. Let go of your mind, don't be afraid of judgments. Show yourself as you are, without a mask, with all your authenticity, individuality and vulnerability. But above all, come with your HEART WIDE OPEN.
THE COURSE:
Each session lasts between 2h and 2h30.
- 20 ': We arrive, we take the time, we warm up
- 10 ': We close the doors and start the opening ceremony in a circle in order to set the theme and our intentions
- 90 ': We dance with the elements, share received messages and do a witness dance
- 15 ': We close the session with a sharing circle
WHAT TO BRING:
Please wear comfortable clothes enabling you to move freely (please do not wear any type of synthetic perfume). Do not forget your water bottle
THE PRICE:
€ 20 per session at normal rate
€ 15 reduced rate (student, unemployed, others)

NON VERBAL SPACE
To go deeper and keep movement as the main expression. You can still use your voice and make sounds during the dance
YOU CAN'T DO IT WRONG
There is no right way to dance. Just yours. The goal is not to make a performance or to make something aesthetic.
YOU CAN KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED AS LONG AS YOU WANT
We start the journey with our eyes closed to connect to ourselves and our sensations. You can then keep them closed as much as you want
TOUCH IS SACRED
Contact with others is allowed and encouraged, but always respect your boundaries and those of others. Don't take a refusal personally.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You don't need to know how to dance to participate. No particular physical conditions are required. Dance at your own pace and within your own physical and emotional limits.
EVERYTHING IS WELCOMED
All emotions are welcomed during the session. You can laugh, scream, cry, do vocalizations. We are in a space without judgment.
THERE ONLY ARE PROPOSALS AND INVITATIONS
Don't feel pressured into doing anything and really do only what speaks to you and what you need at that time. Only you know what's right for you!
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE OF YOURSELF
Whatever the music or your physical state, try to always keep a movement, even the smallest without going beyond your own physical limits.
IT IS NOT A THERAPY
Dancing Freedom is not a therapy but can be therapeutic and help you to understand certain things, to release blockages, to let go. If you see someone in a process, please let them do their job.
