This experience was made thanks to my friend, Vincent, who proposed me to give free blindfolded hugs with him during summer 2018. As I had never done this before, I immediately accepted. So we spent several hours offering ourselves to the world in our fullest vulnerability.

It's quite confusing to wait without seeing anything with open arms. The sensations are increased tenfold. The wait is sometimes long ... and then suddenly, a body, a contact, two hearts beating together.

We tighten, we breathe, we take the time, we take advantage of this timeless moment.

I don't know this person and I will never as I am blindfolded. And yet the connection is there: this person with me, against me.

 

Sometimes a sigh of pleasure to be able to surrender to someone else, sometimes tears coming to my eyes, a strong emotion that doesn't need a word but that we share in the arms of each other. Sometimes great laughs of surprise. Sometimes a "thank you" or "I love you" that are whispered to my ears.

An incredible experience that I will never forget and can't wait to experience again.
